Today Ava and I went to go to Pinkalicious the play at the Magik theater! She loved it! At the end she even go to meet Pinkalicous herself! With it being so hot out lately this was a great way to stay cool and have some fun!Pinkalicous has been one of Ava's favorite books for a while now. For the last two weeks she has said purple is her new favorite color so I guess we are now hoping Purplcious will come next!

New Baby!

Well we have big news! We are expecting another baby! Due November 23rd 2011! We are also buying a bigger house to make room for baby and well for our stuff we had way before baby room was a concern! Move date is June 27th so there will be pictures of the house to come!

Well again I have let blogging get away from me! So here goes to starting again!! Daddy came home for a bit and we had a bunch of fun here are a few random pics!

We also went to go see the fire station with a few of our good friends!! Ava had a blast minus being scared of the fireman dressed in his gear.. we will have to go again and get use it. I never realized it would be scary..

The Circus!

At the last minute I saw the Circus was in town and thought how much fun would that be!? We could have had better seats but for last minute it was great! Ava loved it except at the end we had to leave because it was so late and she looked like she could have fallen asleep! She was a little scared of the clowns but other than that she LOVED it! We wished daddy could have been there with us to experience the circus for BOTH of our first times belive it or not!!

Daddy is Home June '10

Daddy came home for the month of June and we had a lot of adventures! Ray and Ava went to Austin for a night while my mom and i were on a Mothers Day cruise! We also decided to visit the Wildlife of Natural Bride Caverns Safari! Ava was a little scared of the goats and the animals sticking their head in our car!! It was a blast!

Mother's Day

I dont know why we don't ever think to do a Mother's Day Breakfast or Lunch the weekend before knowning everywhere is going to be packed on the actual day! However we didnt! We ended up trying to go to the Gunther House and well 3 hr wait... so we decided to head a few blocks over to Mad Hatter's Tea House yet again.. I guess the fishbowl mimmosa's were convincing enough.. Here are a few pictures we had a great time just wish daddy would have been home! Not the greatest of pictures but you get the idea!

Race for the Cure

Now that we have been back in SA for 2 years and keeping up with our tradition of the Race for the cure we decided to add something more! Mad Hatters Tea House after the race! So much fun with there fishbowl mimosa's! This year was even more fun because we had a few friends join us!!!

Wild Seeds Farms and more

Well today we decided to adventure out on a field trip to Fredricksburg, Tx. We Went to Wild seeds Farms. It was absolutely beautiful! Ava loved it we went with her friend Grayson and as you can see I think they have their first crush's on eachother!! We will definatley be checking this place out again when daddy comes home it was a lot of fun!

While Ray was home we decided to go on a vaction with our long lost friends Ryan and Sarah. Aunt Sarah and Uncle Ryan that is! Well Ava isn't too sure about Uncle Ryan but I think she is starting to warm up! It was amazing and beautiful along with FREEZING, however I do feel i could live in cold weather now! Ava had her first ever sushi experience and we had an amazing time with old friends.

Ava and I went tubing for the first time ever and had a blast. I think Ava loves the snow more than the hot weather.. Ill have to make that decision after our next beach vacation! Utah has some funny drinking laws but leave it to smash and sarah to figure out how to get around them!

Ok, so I know its been WAY to long and I keep saying im going to update this more often.... so Im really going to try!

Ava had her birthday party when her dad had only been home 2 days it was a little crazy but SO fun and SO cute thanks to everyone who came! Minnie Mouse made an apperance and Ava didn't like her at first but warmed up and was dancing like the disco after a few mintues!

Christmas was Amazing and Ava has more toys than we know what to do with! Her favorite was her kitchen and her baby doll stroller, highchair, and bed. She had so many toys we had to put some of them up in the closet so we can take them out as the year goes on and she gets bored! I guess after this year we might not be able to pull that little trick anymore! Here are some pictures!

Today we took Ava to see santa hoping for a better reaction than last year. Well it was horrible she hated him even more and was TERRIFIED of the red bearded man! Maybe next year.... We have put up our Christmas tree and are waiting for Daddy to get home so we can have an amazing 2nd birthday party and Christmas! Done with all the shopping! We are upset because Ava is sick and we will be missing thanksgiving to stay home so no one else gets sick! Ava is growing up so fast it makes me cry I want her to stay the age she is because she is hillarious and saying new words every day! The things she undunderstands amazes me every day! Last weekend we also got a chance to meet up with good friends in Greune to eat and play! Katherine and Nava from Savannah moved to Austin and we are looking forward to many more playdates! Ava is getting to be such a big girl. Today she started her first day of Mothers Day Out and she didn't cry one tear when i left! She enjoys chapel bc she likes to sing and she enjoys learning shapes and colors and playing with the wood kitchen that they have in her classroom! She is only going one day a week as of now but so far she loves it! Here is a pictures of her first day at school!

Ava has also learned her name which is hillarious to ask her "who is this" and point to her because she says it like ava (sounds like vowels) haha! Cute!

Todder uh ooo's!

A lot of things have been going on around this household!! We have decided to put the house up for sale (but not of course until we fix a few things here and there)! Oct. 1st is the hopeful date! Trying to get things fixed with Ava running around and Anthony gone is well.. very complicated!

Ava has turned into a little monster throwing tempur tantrums over not getting "ice" (ice cream) and she is very OCD with only eating it if Iput it in a bowl not out of the container!!! haha! Yesterday Ava decided to throw the portable house phone and it shattered into a million pieces~! Ava loves to eat so she likes to snack on fruit loops(without milk) she was eating them while walking around the house and playing in the play room when she dropped them they went EVERYWHERE and then she says "uh oooooo" hearing this is never a good thing.. she then walks into the living room and says "uh oooo momma" and comes over and says "hug"?? So I know this cannot be good.. good thing we have dogs to help clean up the mess!!! This age is super cute but also super funny I pretty much laugh histerically at her at least once a day but I do love the "free" hugs and kisses I get when something goes her way or she is sorry!

So I know I have been horrible about keeping up with this but i am going to keep up with it at least once a month!!! Ray has been home the month of July and we have gotten to do lots of things with Ava!

Ava's new favorite thing is playing dress up with mommies shoes and purses and jewelry!

Im trying to get a little better about blogging... hopefully now that I have gotten back into the swing of things I will be better! Ava started walking the week her dad left! Now she is practically running a marathon!

Today our playdate got cancelled so I decided to meet another mom friend at the mall for the first day o the easter bunny! Grayson (Stacy's baby) smiled and loved it... and Ava did a little better than with santa no crying but she held a fat lip the entire time!

We have found a couple of moms groups here in San antonio that are great! So far we have gone to the children's museum, park, this indoor play place dynamoze and to someone's house! Hopefully Ava can meet more kids her age to play and learn with!

Since my husband has been home I have been a little slack as far as the internet goes and blogging! I tend to try and stay away from the phone and internet when he is home because that is ALL i do for 3 months at a time when he is not is rely on the computer and phone soely for communication.

He leaves in less than a week man the time flies! Since he has been home we have gone to dinner for valentines day which was amazing and then went to Savannah, Ga. We have also gone to an amazing new brazillian steakhouse with some great friends! Every day we have taken ava to the park and zoo! We have just enjoyed some quality time as Ava is much more adventurous because she is getting older! To top it all off Ava now has a big girl car seat!!!

For Christmas I asked for a new camera that wasn't out yet and there was a VERY long waiting list! I have felt like I did when i was waiting for Ava to arrive waiting for this amazing new camera! Finally yesterday the doorbell rang and BAM it is in my hands.. after taking it out of the box and not even reading a thing i decided to take little Ava outside and take some pics just to try it out before reading instructions. Here are a few of the pics! I cannot wait till i actually know how to do everything on it for the photoshoots to come!

Christmas... a little late

Well I have been super busy.. with the baby and other things! However here is finally a few christmas pictures. We have always done Christmas on christmas eve, so this year we kept the tradition up and did it all at my moms.. we decided to change it up a little with some mexican food and margaritas instead of the traditional!

On Christmas day we had a turkey but decided to make it just a small casual thing. Ava was pretty much exhausted after all the present opening and box and paper playing and then she discovered her toys and well.. took very long naps for a bout 3-4 days!

Ava's Birthday

Ava turned one year old on Dec 18th, we had a small family party. It started out a little scary because neither grill that we had planned on using worked!! Thanks to my brother and sisters boyfriend we had hotdogs, and hamburgers, soda, wine ,beer, and water! Wow I didnt expect so many toys or people to come!! We are blessed to have so many friends and family that care about us! Elmo was the theme of the party and well lets just say Ava made out with WAY too many elmo toys!! At this point I have learned to block out that squeeling noise of a red monsters voice! Thank you all who came and contributed to such a fun day!!

We decided to take some special pictures of Ava for our Christmas card this year since Ray isn's home and we couldn't do a family one! I saw some pics of a little girl in a tutu and thought it was a great idea!! We headed to a location i had seen off the highway, my friend Silvia offered to be my assistant in getting Ava's attention because these days she is learning to ignore her name!! It was a little chilly out so we did them as quick as possible and I wanted to share a few of them eventhough you will be recieving a christmas card very soon if my address labels would get here already!!! Im hoping not to address them by hand.. if i end up having to do that I think I will be wishing Ava was learning to write so she could help!!

Thanksgiving was full of turkey, stuffing, cranberries, potatoes, and messy Ava!! Ava had a wonderful first Thanksgiving we had it at my Moms house (Granna). It was the first time we didn't have it at my Oma's house. Unfortunately Ray was very much missed, Next year he should be home for the Holidays!!! The day before thanksgving everyone is cooking and getting ready to eat... I decided to take ava to the mall to see santa before the craziness begins the day after thanksgiving! I got her all dressed up like a little elf with her chuck taylors on and a big bow of course! We headed to North Star mall... we were the first ones in line for santa! Here comes santa claus and right when Ava set eyes on him got a big lip like she does when she sees the nurse at the doctor's office comming at her with needles!! Here is a hillarious picture!! She wanted nothing to do with him by herself so I decided to sit with her and she still hated him... I guess he is scary looking after all!!

Voting

I am very proud to annouce I did early voting today. Ava and i arrived at the polls about 9:30, it was crazy how busy it was for that time and it being early voting and all. I waited a while and then cast my vote I am very excited for this is the second time I have voted not including the primaries.

However, it is very sad to me for those who do not vote.. many people would kill to vote and we have that right and I think everyone should have to take part in it because it is part of being an American. Oh and i voted for McCain!! Im done!! I wish i could have found ava a cute voting onesie!!

Long time...

It has been a long time since I have written a new blog, we have had a very busy September - October, Ray came home and we traveled and spent family time. It was amazing but as always not quite long enough. Ava played with daddy the whole time!! Ava and daddy spent a weekend together while i went to California with my mom for a nice relaxing time. I think he is now aware of what goes into staying home with her and its not chocolate bon bons!! Then we took a vacation to Vegas to watch a friend get married and have some alone time! The day we came home we took Ava to a pumpkin patch and it was already time for Ray to leave the next day. Time goes by way to fast! We cannot wait for the end of January it cannot come fast enough to have another family vacation time!

Today I am wishing we lived in a cooler climate. I hate that it is almost "fall" but well... we live in texas and it is still 105 degrees with no sign of cooling down ANY time soon! I love summer but in Texas it just seems to last for WAY too long!!

As Ava's two front teeth have started breaking in it has been miserable for her! She started running a low grade fever and i figured it was her teeth. We were supposed to go to Seattle this week but unfortunately Ava had been running a high fever now and we were forced to cancel our plans and just hang out at home..needless to say we kind have cabin fever!! I was also wrong about the fever she was sick! Eventhough we were a little disapointed we are still looking forward to next Saturday when Daddy comes home!! While staying at home this week Ava has been a little moody and clingy however I managed to grab a few pictures in at times when she was feeling better. Of course she is playing tug o war with the dogs and crawling EVERYWHERE!!

Ok, well today it is official Ava is going to be a handful!! She started by crawling to the chair then she proceeds to actually climb the chair and sit in it! She can now crawl, sit and pull up! It is pretty much her hobby these days so I have to watch her like a hawk!

Also, a little x rated for the blog but quite the funny story Ava and i were taking a bath today and I happen to look

down and well.. I thought there was a bug in the tub with us! I screamed and quickly got us both out and to my suprise Ava had give me a "SUPRISE"!! When i called my mom and grandmother to tell the story they told me "Welcome to motherhood." I think this is quite possibly the grosses thing to ever happen to me thus far in life!

I think Ava wants to be a dog she laughs at them she plays tug o war with them and well... she is constantly crawling to the bowl to get some dog food... I spend about half of my day going after her and now we will have to start closing the gate so she cannot get in there! The dog bowl thing is kinda funny but.. can be dangerous!! New to blogging!

I am very new to this blogging thing but Im going to give it a try I love the other blogs i read and figured we should have a family blog to update those who don't use facebook or myspace to keep in contact!

I wish i would have started this when i was pregnant so it could show ava from day one but we are starting at 7months of age and it will continue I am even going to try and get my husband to do some entries... well TRY is the key word!

I went on an adventure to Austin last night to hang out with a Savannah friend one of the Bgirls I use to work with at the salon and well...I had a blast! I think if New York and Savannah had a love child it might be Austin! I think moving is in my near future or I'm hoping.. Austin wouldn't be bad but I think somewhere a little further away (out of texas) either by a beach or perhaps even snow and yes i said snow and I don't even like cold weather but I am feeling a need for some change lately!!
